Universal Alien Alien Novels Gini Koch Books
Excellent, as always. While most readers of sci-fi could likely follow this, I highly recommend that you read the first books of the series before this one.
Let's see:
1. A nice thick book with no "filler"-Totally got my money's worth! √
2. Properly edited and completely avoiding the constant distraction of typos and/or misused words and such. √
3. Good rolicking story featuring love, action, suspense, mystery, universe-hopping, confusion, double-crosses, snark, sarcasm, realistic emotions of all kinds, and characters that actually get hungry, have normal things that they need to work through but don't allow to cripple them, and (oh YES!) common sense. √
Kitty somehow gets switched with her equivalent in another, not-quite-the-same universe.
It's not a mirror-image world, but instead one closer to home, where just a few different choices in the past, one or two people in different places, change the entire future is surprising ways.
It's been said that some people you run into in every lifetime, in one form or another, while others will be new to you.
This episode of Kitty's & the AC's tale explores that idea in intriguing, amusing, exciting, and sometimes poignant ways.
Both Kitty's are thrown for a loop and cleaning up the messes left behind by her alternate in a world that's different from their own.
I don't want to give anything away, but I'll give you this:
In every universe,
-Chuckie will always be in the picture, no matter what.
-Kitty is always Jamie's mommy.
-You can be sure that someone is trying to kill Kitty and those she loves.
-Kitty is always a quick-thinking action-taker.
-Reader is always close, gorgeous, brilliant, and beloved.
-Pierre knows how to make things happen in a household.
-Pets from any planet are awesome to have on your side.
-Some power-mad fruitcake will be killing a bunch of people while trying to take over everything, and hiding behind legions of minions & rabble-rousers.
Maybe a little too much for those who've read the rest of the Alien Collective Series, but hopefully enough to let the rest of you know that you really should, because you are going to have a great time with Kitty & The Alien Collective.

Universal Alien Alien Novels Gini Koch Books Reviews
There aren't many occasions when I feel like my brain has just come to a screeching halt in surprise, but Gini Koch managed it in a remarkably short time in this delightful book. I don't want to give away any spoilers by saying what caused my cartoon-like reaction, but any fan of Kitty's will recognize the exact moment.
There's the typical helpings of humor, snark, and craziness along with a big pile of character development and tons of emotion. Plenty of surprises, and a truly touching amount of "what if?" But you really need to catch up on the other nine Alien books first or, trust me, you won't have a clue.
This is a better book than the last few in the series, and as far as I'm concerned, Gini Koch can write another ten books in this fun series -- if they are even half as good as this one, they'll still be better than an awful lot of other books!
I am so glad to see Kitty back in form. The two previous Alien novels had lost their snap, particularly the the last one. But I'm glad I gave the series one more try. Because somehow by sending her heroine through the looking glass Kitty got her grove back.
In this installment Katherine Katt Martini gets sent through the multiverse to join her duplicates family in a world where she is married to her best friend Charles. She arrives in time to be on the spot for the an attempt to crash the car she is driving along with the three children inside it. Her alternative self arrives in super Kitty's world in the middle of a diplomatic crisis with Australia. Each Kitty must adapt, and fast. Only little Jamie seems to initially understand what other mommy is doing. Each Kitty possesses the right skills for the situation at hand, but many things are different, including an alien population that seems to exist in one world but not the other. But an evil mastermind has infiltrated Kitty's reality in both worlds. And he must be stopped.
What I have so enjoyed about this series is the humor and the fun characters. In the last two books the author had gotten bogged down in more and more powerful villains and repetitive action sequences. Somehow having her two Kitties having to fight for each other's loved ones restored what most worked in this series, humor and character. And the plot is advanced for the next book because we now have a clue as to the elusive big bad. Let's hope that Koch continues to delight us. All hail Kitty Katt Martini and her remarkable daughter Jamie Katt. In whatever situation we find them next.
Excellent, as always.
